The Transportation Division of Highways & Public Works builds and maintains the infrastructure, systems and programs that are critical to a healthy and vibrant Yukon. We require a strong communicator with strategic insight to build and lead the newly established Transportation Planning Branch, as well as coordinate transportation planning activities across the other four functional branches of the Transportation Division. Your initial mandate as Director will focus on developing transportation planning capacity at the branch and divisional levels, and growing the division’s transportation asset management program.

- Post-secondary degree in Business, Planning, Public Administration or other relevant discipline.
- Significant experience managing a large organization, including:
- Strategic planning
- Design and implementation of programs
- Financial and asset management resources
- Leading a diverse team of professionals.
- Experience working in a transportation-related industry would be an asset.
Candidates who have education, training and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.

Conditions of Employment: Valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s licence.
Job Requirements: Travel throughout Yukon and Canada.
